What do I need to bring to my medical examination?
Please bring the following items to your appointment:
- Your passport or another valid identity document
- Your vaccination record, if available
- Proof of your current immigration status in the United States
How long does the medical exam take?
You should plan to spend at least two hours at our clinic.
When will my medical results be ready?
In most cases, your medical report will be ready within 3–4 business days after your appointment.
You will receive:
- One sealed envelope (do not open this—USCIS requires it sealed)
- One copy for your personal records
Do I need to fast before the blood test?
No. Fasting is not required before your appointment.
What if I don’t have my vaccination records?
If you do not have your vaccination history, the doctor will determine which vaccines are required based on your age and USCIS guidelines and administer them as needed.
Does insurance cover the immigration medical exam?
No. Immigration and migration-related medical exams are not covered by health insurance.
Can I use results from a recent medical exam?
No. USCIS only accepts laboratory tests and samples taken on the day of your appointment with an authorized civil surgeon.
